Library Assistant

We are hiring a Library Assistant to join our team in Hawalli. As a Library Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the library, including organizing and maintaining materials, assisting patrons with research and information requests, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field, as well as strong communication and organizational skills. This position is open to all nationalities, but proficiency in English is required. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1300 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Help patrons locate materials and provide assistance with research requests
- Check in and out library materials using the automated system
- Organize and shelve books, magazines, and other library materials
- Keep track of library inventory and order new materials as needed
- Assist with library programs and events
- Maintain a clean and organized library space
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in English (additional language skills are a plus)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
