Barista - Coffee Shop in Akron


We are hiring a skilled Barista to join our team at a popular coffee shop in Akron. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating and serving high-quality coffee and tea beverages to our customers. Your role will also involve taking orders, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent customer service skills, a passion for coffee, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, perfect for someone looking to gain experience in the food and beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve hot and cold coffee and tea beverages according to customer preferences
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, including counter tops, equipment, tables, and floors
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about menu items, making recommendations, and resolving any complaints or issues
- Restock supplies as needed throughout shift
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the coffee shop

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food service industry preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills in order to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Knowledge of different types of coffee beans, roasts, brewing methods, and latte art is an asset but not necessary
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary:
Starting salary is $1300 per month with potential for tips.
