Head Chef
The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations at our restaurant in Eschen. They will be responsible for creating and developing new menus, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and ensuring the quality and consistency of all dishes. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a chef, strong leadership skills, and a passion for food. Malayalees or Nepali candidates are preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$. No English language skills are required for this role.
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for:
- Creating and developing new menus that reflect our restaurant's concept and appeal to our customers
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked
- Overseeing food preparation and ensuring the quality and consistency of all dishes served
- Training and managing kitchen staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining proper sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Collaborating with other departments such as front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations
- Handling any customer complaints or issues related to food quality or service in a professional manner
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, new ingredients, and techniques to constantly improve menu offerings
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a chef or head chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, flavor profiles, and culinary trends
- Creativity in menu development while also being able to work within budget constraints
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory, schedules, and budgets efficiently
- A passion for food and an eye for detail when it comes to presentation and taste
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others as part of a team
