Preservation Architect

Our architecture firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Atlanta. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, while also ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations. You must have a deep understanding of architectural history and preservation techniques, as well as strong project management skills.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments of historic buildings to determine preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans and provide guidance on restoration projects
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure successful completion of projects
- Prepare documentation for historic building designation and necessary permits
- Stay updated on local building codes and regulations related to historic preservation
- Manage project budgets and timelines

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Preservation Architect
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, and techniques used in historic buildings
- Experience managing preservation projects from start to finish
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to historic preservation in Atlanta is preferred

Salary: $1600/month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Atlanta (local candidates preferred)
