Pastry Chef
A high-end restaurant in Doha is seeking an experienced Indian Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and creating a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods that meet the restaurant's standards of excellence. You must have a strong passion for pastry-making and be knowledgeable about various cooking techniques and ingredients. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining establishment. This position offers a competitive salary of $1600 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute dessert and pastry menu items in accordance with the restaurant's standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary ingredients to maintain stock levels
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff on proper techniques and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section of the kitchen
- Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop new menu items based on customer preferences
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Culinary degree or certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating desserts
- Strong understanding of ingredient pairings and flavor profiles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Team player attitude with strong leadership abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
