Head Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our restaurant in Triesen. As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing delicious Indian dishes while managing the kitchen team and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus for our Indian restaurant, taking into account seasonal ingredients, dietary restrictions, and customer preferences
- Manage food inventory and ordering to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff to maintain a smooth operation during busy shifts
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times
- Monitor food costs and work with management to make adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with other departments such as front of house staff to ensure excellent customer service is provided
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a chef, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in an Indian restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, including traditional ingredients, cooking techniques, and regional variations
- Ability to create unique dishes while maintaining authentic flavors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Understanding of food cost control measures
- Fluent in English with good communication skills
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month for this full-time position.
