Executive Chef for Indian Cuisine
The Executive Chef for Indian Cuisine will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the culinary operations at our luxury hotel in Mecca. As the head of the kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus that showcase authentic and high-quality Indian cuisine, while also maintaining food safety standards and managing a team of chefs. You will work closely with our food and beverage team to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that showcase authentic Indian cuisine while also incorporating local flavors
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including sourcing ingredients and creating recipes
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene in the kitchen
- Manage inventory and control food costs
- Train, supervise, and motivate a team of chefs to maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments, such as banquets and room service, to create unique dining experiences for guests
- Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into menu development
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations and traditional cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Creativity in menu development while also maintaining profitability
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with other departments and vendors
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and experience implementing them in a kitchen setting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Fluent English is required, knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Must be willing to relocate to Mecca, Saudi Arabia
- Valid biometric passport is required for travel and work authorization
Salary: $1000 per month, plus benefits and accommodation in Mecca.
