Junior Executive Chef


We are searching for a passionate and talented Junior Executive Chef to join our team at our restaurant in Isa Town. In this role, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and creating delicious, high-quality dishes for our customers.

As a Junior Executive Chef, your main responsibility will be to support the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and managing kitchen staff. You will also be responsible for maintaining high levels of food quality and hygiene standards, as well as ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong passion for cooking and possess excellent culinary skills. You must also have a creative mindset and be able to come up with new menu ideas that will attract customers. Previous experience as a sous chef or line cook is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating new menus that align with our restaurant's concept
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the Head Chef
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff members
- Ensure that all food items are stored properly and follow proper stock rotation methods
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area
- Follow all health and safety regulations while handling food
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary ingredients when needed
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service of meals
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu planning

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification is a plus
- Proven experience as a sous chef or line cook is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train junior kitchen staff members effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Creativity in coming up with new dishes and menu ideas
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Must have a valid visa to work in Isa Town
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

We are offering a competitive salary of 1200$ for this position. Please note that this is an entry-level role and accommodation will not be provided. This position is open to students who are looking for part-time or full-time employment.
