Pastry Chef for Indian Restaurant in Nizwa, Oman



We are hiring a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team at an Indian restaurant in Nizwa, Oman. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role and be familiar with traditional Indian desserts and pastries. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing new dessert menus, as well as managing the pastry team and ensuring high quality and consistency in all desserts served.

Responsibilities:

- Create and implement new dessert menus that showcase traditional Indian flavors while also incorporating modern twists
- Manage the pastry team, including training, scheduling, and overseeing their work
- Ensure high quality and consistency in all desserts served
- Maintain inventory of all necessary ingredients and supplies for the pastry section
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Adhere to all food safety standards and regulations

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a similar role
- Knowledge of traditional Indian desserts and pastries is essential
- Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask effectively
- Strong leadership skills with ability to train and manage a team
- Attention to detail with strong creative vision for dessert presentation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Fluent English communication skills
- Valid work permit for Oman (preferred)

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per month based on experience.
