Carpenter - Furniture Maker (Indian)

We are a leading furniture manufacturing company based in Al-Khor, seeking an experienced Carpenter - Furniture Maker to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing various types of furniture according to specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret construction drawings to determine materials required and measurements for each project
- Cut, shape, and join wood or other materials using hand or power tools
- Assemble furniture components using screws, bolts, nails or other fasteners
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, locks or drawer slides
- Sand and finish completed furniture pieces to achieve desired appearance
- Repair or refurbish damaged or worn furniture pieces
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Adhere to safety procedures and standards at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Carpenter/Furniture Maker in a similar role
- Proficient in reading construction drawings and taking measurements accurately
- Strong knowledge of different types of wood and their properties
- Ability to use power tools such as saws, drills, sanders etc.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
- Indian nationality preferred

Salary:
We are offering a salary of 1600$ per month for this position.

Contract Type:
This is a contract job with an initial duration of 1 year. Renewal may be possible based on performance.

Accommodation:
This position does not include accommodation. Candidates should have their own housing arrangements in Al-Khor.

Experience:
Experience as a Carpenter/Furniture Maker is required for this role. Freshers without prior experience will not be considered.

Language Skills:
Fluency in English is not required for this job. However, basic communication skills in English are preferred.
