Database Administrator

Our company, a leading technology firm in Balzers, is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in database management and a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our databases, ensuring data security and integrity, and providing support to our development team. Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain all databases within the company
- Monitor database performance and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement data backup and recovery plans
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate access controls
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
- Work closely with development team to support database needs for new projects
- Generate reports on database usage and performance for management review
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL and proficiency in database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Java, Python) is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
