We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our growing team in Shan, Kenya. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases, ensuring their security and efficiency. Your role will involve monitoring database performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing new database systems as needed. You should have a strong understanding of database management and be able to work with various database technologies.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor company databases to ensure they are functioning efficiently
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with databases, including performance problems or data corruption
- Implement new database systems as needed
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery plans for databases
- Optimize database performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions
- Ensure the security of company databases by controlling access and implementing security measures
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve technical issues related to databases
- Train employees on how to use databases effectively

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, security procedures, and performance optimization techniques
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication skills
