Executive Chef in Lusail, Qatar
We are hiring an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Lusail, Qatar. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant and ensuring high-quality food is prepared and served to our guests. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Executive Chef and possess excellent leadership skills. You must have a strong passion for food and be able to create innovative and delicious dishes. A background in international cuisine is preferred. This position offers a competitive salary of 1700$ per month with additional benefits. Applicants from Pakistan or African countries are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management
- Develop new menu items and ensure that all dishes are presented with high standards of quality and taste
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques, food safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines
- Manage inventory levels and ensure that all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop marketing strategies to promote the restaurant's culinary offerings
- Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during busy periods while keeping labor costs within budget
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed to maintain profitability
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for kitchen staff and provide feedback for improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends and make recommendations for updates or changes to menus
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Knowledge of various international cuisines and ability to create unique dishes using fresh ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Understanding of food safety regulations and ability to enforce them in the kitchen at all times
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new menu items and keep up with industry trends
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Certifications in food safety and sanitation preferred
