As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our resort's culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that reflect the local culture and ingredients while also catering to international tastes
- Oversee all food production, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained at all times
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and kitchen assistants
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to meet demand
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or resort setting
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines and cooking techniques
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English (Malayalee language skills preferred)
- Valid work permit for Kenya (visa sponsorship available for non-Kenyan nationals)
