Preservation Architect - Ashdod, Israel
The Preservation Architect will be responsible for the preservation and restoration of historic buildings and structures in Ashdod, Israel. This includes conducting research on the history and architectural significance of these structures, developing preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture, with a focus on historic preservation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the history and architectural significance of historic buildings in Ashdod
- Develop preservation plans for each structure, taking into consideration its historical value and current condition
- Collaborate with contractors and other professionals to oversee restoration projects
- Ensure that all work is done in accordance with local regulations and preservation standards
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress
- Provide expertise and recommendations on maintaining the integrity of historic buildings
Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in architectural design or historic preservation
- Strong knowledge of local regulations and guidelines related to historic preservation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
