Entry-Level Pastry Chef
Location: Al-Rayyan, Qatar (Open to Canadian Applicants)
We are seeking a talented and driven Pastry Chef to join our team in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. This is an entry-level position that offers the opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and executing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our restaurant guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients as needed
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to develop new menu items
- Train and supervise junior pastry cooks as needed
Requirements:
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency preferred
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field is an asset
- 1-2 years of experience working in pastry/bakery production preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are an asset)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary:
Starting salary for this position is 1700$ per month. Salary may be negotiable based on experience.
