Executive Chef
We are a luxury resort in the beautiful city of Salalah, seeking a skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the resort's food and beverage operations
- Create and implement menus that showcase local and international flavors
- Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently delivered
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary guidelines
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events and banquets
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu development
- Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality ingredients at competitive prices
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a luxury setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a diverse team
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and presentation techniques
- Familiarity with local cuisine is preferred but not required
Salary: 1200$
Location: Salalah (Preference for African nationals)
