Mason for Construction Projects in Nairobi, Kenya

We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our construction team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Mason, you will be responsible for building and repairing structures using various types of bricks, stones, and concrete blocks. You will work on both residential and commercial projects, following blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate and sturdy construction. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry work, be physically fit and able to work with heavy materials, and possess strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up scaffolding
- Lay out patterns or foundations according to blueprints
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using various tools
- Lay bricks or other materials in a neat and precise manner to create walls, arches, or other structures
- Cut or shape bricks or stones using chisels, saws, or other tools
- Install insulation materials as needed
- Repair existing structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones
- Clean finished surfaces using water or chemicals
- Follow safety protocols at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry
- Physical strength and endurance to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications accurately
- Knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and concrete blocks
- Familiarity with various masonry tools such as trowels, levels, hammers, etc.
- Attention to detail for precise placement of materials
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members
- Ability to adhere to safety regulations
