Radio Technician


A reputable radio station in Nairobi is seeking a skilled and experienced Radio Technician to join our team. As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the technical equipment used in broadcasting. This includes troubleshooting issues, conducting regular maintenance, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in radio broadcasting, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1500 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair all technical equipment used in broadcasting
- Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise
- Conduct regular maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly for on-air broadcasts
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Stay updated on new technology in radio broadcasting industry

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radio Technician or similar role
- Technical background in radio broadcasting or related field
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of current broadcast technology and systems

Preferred:
- Experience working with digital audio systems such as ENCO DAD or RCS Zetta
- Familiarity with FCC regulations for radio broadcasting
- Experience working with remote broadcast equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
