Merchandiser for English-speaking Contract Jobs in Nairobi, Kenya


We are currently hiring a Merchandiser to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. This is a contract job with a salary of 1400$. We welcome Indian nationals and women to apply for this role.

As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are displayed and promoted effectively in retail stores. You will work closely with the sales team to develop strategies for increasing product visibility and driving sales. Your main duties will include conducting market research, creating product displays, and analyzing sales data.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent communication skills in English and be comfortable interacting with customers and store managers. You should also have strong analytical skills and be able to identify trends and make data-driven decisions. Previous experience as a merchandiser or in the retail industry is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify customer preferences and competitor strategies

- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking products
- Attend trade shows and events to promote our products
- Prepare reports on sales performance and present findings to management

Requirements:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Previous experience as a merchandiser or in the retail industry preferred
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact confidently with customers and store managers
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and attend trade shows/events as needed
- Knowledge of Indian products and market trends is a plus
