Turner - Metal Machinist
Our metal fabrication company in Nairobi is seeking a skilled Turner to join our team. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining metalworking machinery to shape and form metal parts. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1400 per month. Applicants from the Philippines are preferred, but all nationalities are welcome to apply. No previous experience or English proficiency is required for this role. However, candidates must have a strong work ethic and be willing to learn on the job. Accommodation will not be provided, so candidates must already be based in Nairobi or willing to relocate at their own expense.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate metalworking machines including lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy of parts
- Select appropriate cutting tools and speed settings for each job
- Inspect finished parts for quality control purposes
- Maintain machinery by cleaning, lubricating, and making minor repairs as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in metalworking or machine operating preferred but not required
- Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time while operating machinery
- Willingness to learn new skills on the job
