Skilled Turner in Nairobi


We are seeking a skilled Turner to join our team in Nairobi. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines to shape and cut metal pieces into specific forms according to blueprints and specifications. This position offers a salary of 1400$ per month and is open to candidates of Pakistani nationality. Fluency in English is not required for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machinery to shape, cut, and smooth metal pieces
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and drawings to determine specifications
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on metal pieces using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Select appropriate tools, materials, and speeds for each job
- Verify dimensions of finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments
- Inspect machines for defects or malfunctions and perform basic maintenance as needed
- Adhere to all safety regulations while operating machinery

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Turner or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
- Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Good physical stamina and dexterity for operating machinery for long periods of time
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment
