Blast Furnace Operator (Indian Nationals)

We are in search of an experienced and skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team at our steel manufacturing plant in Nairobi. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the blast furnace and associated equipment to produce quality molten iron for steel production. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the blast furnace according to established procedures and safety guidelines
- Monitor temperatures, pressures, and other indicators to ensure proper functioning of the furnace
- Adjust controls to maintain appropriate levels of raw materials and air flow into the furnace
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on furnace equipment
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the blast furnace

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Blast Furnace Operator in a steel manufacturing plant
- Strong knowledge of blast furnace operations, including raw material handling, combustion control, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in a hot and noisy environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Good communication skills in English (Hindi or Gujarati is a plus)
- Valid work visa for Kenya (sponsorship available for outstanding candidates)
