We are seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Washington, D.C. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. Your main duties will include conducting site surveys, researching historical documentation, and creating preservation plans in compliance with local and national regulations. You will also oversee the restoration process, working closely with construction teams and contractors to ensure the integrity of the original structure is maintained.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in Architecture or Historic Preservation, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience working on preservation projects. You should have a strong understanding of architectural styles and techniques used in historical buildings, as well as knowledge of conservation materials and methods. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
