Cashier at Busy Retail Store in Lom, Kenya

We are a busy retail store located in Lom, Kenya looking for a reliable and experienced Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions and providing excellent customer service to all our customers.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide them with friendly and efficient service
- Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register
- Ensure all prices and products are accurately scanned and entered into the system
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area at all times
- Reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift, ensuring any discrepancies are reported immediately
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed
- Follow store policies and procedures at all times, including safety protocols

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Prior experience working as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred
- Excellent math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is 1700$ per month. We also offer accommodation for our employees if needed.
