Head Baker


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Baker to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bakery operations, from production to quality control. You will work closely with a team of bakers to ensure that our products meet our high standards and are delivered on time.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all bakery operations, including production, inventory management, and quality control.
- Train and mentor new bakers to ensure consistent quality and performance.
- Create and implement new recipes and menu items to keep up with market trends.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to meet health and safety standards.
- Ensure that all products meet our high standards of taste, appearance, and freshness.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop cross-functional strategies for business growth.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a baker in a professional kitchen or bakery.
- Proven track record of managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety measures.
- Ability to create new recipes while also following existing ones accurately.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train others effectively.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have completed formal training or apprenticeship in baking or culinary arts. A degree or diploma in culinary arts or related field is preferred but not required.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package of 1700$ per month for this position.

Location:
This position is based in Malindi, Kenya. Accommodation will be provided for non-local candidates. Visa sponsorship and airfare will also be covered for successful applicants.
