Preservation Architect - Contract Position in Las Vegas



We are currently seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Las Vegas for a contract position. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural preservation and restoration, with experience working on historic buildings and structures. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software, as well as knowledge of building codes and regulations. The Preservation Architect will work closely with clients to develop preservation plans and oversee restoration projects from conception to completion. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct site visits and assessments of historic buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans that meet the needs of clients while adhering to building codes and regulations
- Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success
- Oversee restoration projects from conception to completion, ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the process
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to architectural preservation

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working on historic preservation projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar design software
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and historic preservation guidelines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and team members from diverse backgrounds
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Passion for preserving the architectural heritage of Las Vegas

Benefits:
