Blast Furnace Operator



As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the blast furnace in our steel manufacturing plant located in Eldoret, Kenya. Your role is crucial in producing high-quality steel products that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the operation of the blast furnace to ensure proper temperature and gas flow
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Coordinate with other workers to ensure smooth operation of the furnace
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Keep accurate records of production data and report any deviations to management
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure production targets are met

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of experience as a blast furnace operator in a steel manufacturing plant
- Knowledge of blast furnace operations, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Physically fit and able to work in hot and noisy conditions for extended periods of time
- Fluent in English (Malayalam language skills are an added advantage)

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
