A smelter operator is responsible for operating machinery and equipment to extract metals from their ores. This role involves monitoring and adjusting furnace conditions, loading materials into the furnace, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate smelting equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines
- Monitor furnace conditions and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal temperature and pressure levels
- Load materials into the furnace using appropriate tools and techniques
- Monitor the flow of materials through the smelting process and make adjustments as needed
- Conduct periodic quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Keep accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, process times, and any issues or incidents that occur
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in metallurgy is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a smelter operator or in a similar role
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs) and stand for long periods of time
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to smelting operations

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1800 per month.
