Job Title: Junior Miner (English Speaking)


A mining company in Malindi is seeking a Junior Miner to join our team. This is a contract position with a salary of $1300 per month, including accommodation. We welcome applicants of all nationalities, but proficiency in English is required.

As a Junior Miner, you will be responsible for assisting with the extraction of minerals and ores from underground mines. You will also be involved in the maintenance and repair of mining equipment and tools.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the drilling, blasting, and digging of tunnels to extract minerals and ores
- Operate mining equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and drills
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment
- Repair or replace damaged equipment or tools as needed
- Monitor ventilation systems to ensure safe working conditions
- Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Keep accurate records of daily operations and report any issues or concerns to senior miners

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (mining-related education preferred)
- Previous experience working in a mine or construction environment
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and tools safely and efficiently
- Physical strength and stamina to work long hours in underground mines
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a mining setting
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to work well within a team environment
