Head Chef - Indian Cuisine (Acre, Israel)
A busy restaurant in Acre, Israel is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef specializing in Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating authentic and flavorful dishes while also managing the kitchen staff and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus featuring traditional Indian dishes with creative twists
- Purchase and maintain inventory of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality
- Train, manage, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and high-quality food production
- Monitor food costs, portion control, and waste management to maintain profitability
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a busy restaurant setting, specializing in Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Ability to create unique and innovative dishes while also maintaining consistency with traditional recipes
- Understanding of food costs, inventory management, and kitchen operations
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Hebrew is a plus)
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
