Seamstress

A well-established fashion company in Eldoret is seeking an experienced Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in garment construction and alterations. The Seamstress will be responsible for creating high-quality, custom-made clothing for our clients based on their specifications and measurements. The successful candidate should have excellent sewing skills and knowledge of various fabrics, patterns, and garment construction techniques. Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently are essential for this role. The salary for this position is $1600 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret client specifications to create custom garments
- Take accurate measurements and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit
- Cut fabric according to patterns and assemble garments using sewing machines or hand stitching
- Perform alterations on finished garments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Keep track of inventory levels and order supplies when needed
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their satisfaction with the final product

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Seamstress or similar role
- Proficient in sewing machines, sergers, and other related equipment
- Knowledge of different fabrics, patterns, and garment construction techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
