Blast Furnace Operator - Mombasa, Kenya


We are hiring a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnace equipment to produce high-quality iron or steel.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor blast furnace equipment according to established procedures and safety regulations
- Maintain proper temperature, pressure, and flow of materials within the furnace
- Monitor and adjust the amount of fuel and raw materials as needed
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform minor repairs when necessary
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the production process
- Ensure all quality standards are met by conducting regular quality control checks

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Blast Furnace Worker or similar role
- Familiarity with operating blast furnace equipment and performing basic maintenance tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Prior experience working with iron or steel is preferred but not required
- Must be physically fit and able to work in a hot environment for extended periods of time

Salary: $1100 per month (Canadian dollars)
Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
Nationality Preference: Canadian workers are preferred but we welcome all qualified candidates. No English language skills required.
