Librarian Assistant

We are hiring a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Librarian Assistant in Sheduva, Pakistan. In this position, you will assist the head librarian in managing the library's collection and providing excellent customer service to library patrons. Your responsibilities will include organizing and shelving books, assisting patrons with finding materials, maintaining library equipment, and performing administrative tasks such as data entry and record keeping. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. This is an urgent position with a salary of 1000$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and shelve books according to library classification system
- Assist patrons with finding materials and answer any questions they may have
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the library space
- Check books in and out using computerized system
- Perform data entry for new material acquisitions
- Keep accurate records of borrowed materials
- Assist with library events and programs
- Troubleshoot any issues with library equipment
- Communicate effectively with patrons, colleagues, and supervisor

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Library Science preferred
- Fluent proficiency in Urdu required; basic knowledge of English preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Familiarity with computer systems and basic office software
- Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
