Executive Chef - Malayalee Cuisine (Seasonal)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef specializing in Malayalee cuisine to join our team for a seasonal position in Albena. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high quality and authentic Malayalee dishes are served to our guests.
Key responsibilities:
- Create and develop menus featuring traditional Malayalee dishes with a modern twist
- Manage kitchen staff, including training and scheduling
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Control food costs by ensuring proper inventory management and portion control
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and promotions featuring Malayalee cuisine
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a busy restaurant or hotel setting
- Expertise in preparing authentic Malayalee dishes using traditional techniques and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field
- Experience working in a seasonal or resort setting
- Knowledge of Malayalam language is an asset
