Job Title: Collector - Debt Recovery Specialist


As a Collector - Debt Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for recovering overdue debts from customers. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and efficient collection of outstanding payments. Your main duties will include contacting customers via phone, email or in person to remind them of their outstanding debt, negotiating payment plans, and maintaining accurate records of all collection activities.

To excel in this role, you must have excellent communication and negotiation skills. You should also have strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Previous experience in debt recovery or collections is preferred.

This is a contract job based in Nairobi with a salary of 1700$. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract. Visa sponsorship is also available for all nationalities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contacting customers to remind them of their overdue debt
- Negotiating payment plans with customers
- Maintaining accurate records of all collection activities
- Working closely with the finance team to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts
- Providing regular updates on collection progress to management
- Escalating unresolved issues to higher management when necessary

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field preferred
- Proven experience in debt recovery or collections preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with customers professionally and calmly

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time contract job based in Nairobi, Kenya. The working hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract. Visa sponsorship is available for all nationalities.
