Head Chef
A renowned restaurant in Washington is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, ordering supplies, training staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus that are both creative and profitable
- Manage food costs and inventory levels
- Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Train new staff members on proper cooking techniques and recipes
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, staffing needs, and menu development
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Oversee ordering of supplies and maintain relationships with vendors
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to create unique dishes using fresh ingredients
- Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of food cost control methods
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
Salary: $1600 per month
Preferred Nationalities: African or Nepali
