Junior Librarian

As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloguing and organizing materials, helping patrons with research inquiries, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and order of the library. This is a full-time position located in Moscow, Russia and does not require any previous experience. However, proficiency in English is not required for this role. As an Indian national, you must hold a biometric passport for travel purposes.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with locating and checking out books, magazines, and other materials
- Conduct basic reference interviews to determine patron information needs
- Catalogue new materials into the library system following established standards
- Organize shelves and maintain overall cleanliness of the library
- Assist with planning and implementing library events and programs
- Answer phone calls and respond to basic inquiries
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on library equipment
- Keep accurate records of circulation statistics

Requirements:
- Indian national with a valid biometric passport for travel purposes
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Library Science preferred
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Friendly demeanor and ability to assist patrons of all ages with varying needs
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and library automation systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
