Long Haul Truck Driver

We are in need of a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team in St. Petersburg. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive trucks to transport goods over long distances
- Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary documents such as permits, bills of lading, and customs clearance
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues before and during trips
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers
- Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers using two-way radio or cell phones to exchange information about road conditions or potential hazards

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a truck driver
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no traffic violations
- Ability to drive long hours and travel overnight if necessary
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds

Preferred:
- Experience with refrigerated trailers is a plus

Salary: $1000 per week
