Foundry Technician/Operator

We are seeking a skilled Foundry Technician/Operator to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As a Foundry Technician/Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining furnaces and other equipment used in the foundry process. This is a contract position with a salary of 1600$ per month and accommodation provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate foundry equipment such as furnaces, ladles, and mold machines
- Ensure proper pouring of molten metal into molds according to specifications
- Monitor equipment to ensure quality and efficiency in production
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a foundry or similar industrial environment
- Knowledge of foundry processes, including melting, pouring, molding, and finishing
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical stamina to withstand long periods of standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or degree in Foundry Technology or related field
- Familiarity with different types of metals used in the foundry process
- Experience working with furnaces from different manufacturers
