Cashier - Indian Nationals


Our busy retail store in Bungoma is seeking a reliable and friendly cashier to join our team. As an Indian national, you will feel right at home in our diverse and welcoming community. Responsibilities:
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
- Scan goods and ensure pricing accuracy
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and give appropriate change
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
- Keep reports of transactions
- Bag, box or wrap merchandise as needed
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy

Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a cashier or in a similar role
- Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, money counters)
- Strong communication skills in English
- Customer satisfaction-oriented mindset
- Attention to detail and mathematical skills
- Sales skills will be considered a plus

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position that does not include accommodation. As an Indian national, you must have your own valid visa to work in Bungoma. The working hours will vary but mainly include evening shifts and weekends.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month for this position.
