Smelter Operator


As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining smelting equipment to process raw materials into metal. This role requires someone with experience in smelting and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control smelting equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, and flow of materials
- Load raw materials into the smelting furnace according to production schedules
- Monitor the quality of metal being produced and make adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a smelting facility
- Ability to operate various types of smelting equipment
- Knowledge of safety protocols for working with high temperatures and hazardous materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor multiple processes simultaneously
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects when necessary
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Preferred Skills:
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Experience using computerized control systems for operating smelting equipment

Salary: $1600/month (may vary based on experience)

Location: Eldoret, Kenya (accommodation provided)

Visa/Work Permit: Company will provide visa sponsorship and cover the cost of travel from home country.
