Indian Executive Chef in Nakuru
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Executive Chef to join our team in Nakuru. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and executing delicious and authentic Indian dishes, managing the kitchen staff, and ensuring high-quality food and service for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create menu items that reflect traditional Indian cuisine while also incorporating unique and creative twists
- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain stock levels
- Train and oversee kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and efficiency in food preparation
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes to maintain high standards
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in the kitchen
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in an Indian restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, including spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create innovative new dishes while also maintaining traditional recipes
- Experience managing a team of kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and handle pressure during busy periods
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and ordering processes
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus)
- Must be able to work full-time without accommodation provided
