Executive Chef - Manama, Bahrain
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Manama, Bahrain. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. Your creativity and leadership skills will be crucial in maintaining the high quality of our culinary offerings and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus in accordance with seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring consistency and quality
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other employees
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations throughout the establishment
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or similar field
- Previous experience working in Bahrain or the Middle East region
- Knowledge of local cuisine is a plus
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
