Seasonal Restaurant Manager

As a seasonal restaurant manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant in Mombasa. You will manage a team of staff and ensure that all customer service standards are met. Your duties will include but are not limited to creating work schedules, ordering supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and handling customer complaints. You must have previous experience in a management role in the restaurant industry and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant
- Manage a team of staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure that all customer service standards are met
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders when necessary
- Handle any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
- Create and maintain work schedules for staff
- Ensure that all safety and sanitation standards are followed
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery
- Implement strategies to increase sales and improve overall customer satisfaction

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a restaurant manager or similar role
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
-Successful track record of increasing sales and improving customer satisfaction
-Familiarity with POS systems
-Bilingual skills (Filipino/Tagalog) for effective communication with kitchen staff
-Knowledge of Kenyan cuisine
-Availability to live on-site during the seasonal period
