Job Title: Librarian Assistant


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian Assistant to join our team in Nizwa. As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the librarian in managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and maintaining the library's organization and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cataloging and classifying library materials
- Help patrons locate library materials and provide guidance on research strategies
- Process new materials into the library's collection
- Maintain the organization of library shelves and ensure all materials are properly shelved
- Assist with creating displays and promoting library events or services
- Monitor library equipment, report any issues, and assist with troubleshooting
- Provide basic computer assistance to patrons using library resources
- Perform routine tasks such as checking books in/out, collecting fines, and updating patron records
- Keep track of inventory levels and assist with ordering new materials when needed

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using computers and other technology
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Biometric passport is required for all nationalities
- Accommodation will be provided

Salary: 1600$ per month
