Database Administrator (Remote)


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Database Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is fully remote, so you can work from anywhere in Canada. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the organization's databases, ensuring they are secure and running efficiently. You should have strong analytical skills and be able to troubleshoot and resolve database issues quickly. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in database administration or for an experienced professional seeking part-time work. No English language skills or previous experience is required for this role. Own visa and accommodation are also not necessary.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the organization's databases to ensure they are running smoothly
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues as they arise
- Conduct regular backups to ensure data is not lost
- Develop and implement security measures to protect databases from unauthorized access
- Analyze database performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure databases meet business needs
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Canadian nationality or ability to legally work in Canada without sponsorship
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Familiarity with database design, data integrity principles, and SQL languages
- Knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, Oracle)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues quickly
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Salary: $1500/month (part-time)

Location: Remote (from anywhere in Canada)
