Surveying Technician


Our surveying company is seeking a skilled and motivated Surveying Technician to join our team in Akron, Ohio. As a Surveying Technician, you will assist our team of surveyors in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data related to land surveys and construction projects. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone without prior experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Assist surveyors in conducting field surveys and collecting data using various tools such as GPS equipment and total stations
- Input collected data into computer software for analysis and interpretation
- Create maps and other visual representations of survey data using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Prepare reports and documentation related to survey results
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within given timelines
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in the field

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or training in surveying or related field is a plus)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with surveying equipment and software (experience with Trimble or Leica equipment is preferred)
- Basic understanding of CAD software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills

Salary:
$1400 per month, with potential for growth based on performance.

This position is based in Akron, Ohio.
