Job Title: Librarian (Malayalee preferred)


A renowned library in Eldoret is seeking a skilled Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing and managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with finding resources, and providing information services. This position requires fluency in English and experience working as a librarian.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials
- Assist patrons in finding resources and provide guidance on research methods
- Develop and implement library programs, such as book clubs or workshops
- Catalog new materials and maintain accurate records of borrowed items
- Stay updated on current trends in the field of librarianship
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute events or initiatives
- Ensure that the library remains clean, organized, and welcoming for visitors
- Handle administrative tasks, such as budget management and report writing

Requirements:
- Fluency in English (Malayalam proficiency preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience working as a librarian
- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems and reference tools
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

What we offer:
We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month along with accommodation. We also provide free visa sponsorship and round-trip tickets for all nationalities. This is a contract position for 1 year with the possibility of extension based on performance.
