Merchandising Specialist
As a Merchandising Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing effective merchandising strategies for our company's products. You will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to maximize product visibility and drive sales. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in the retail industry. You must be able to work independently and have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. This is a contract position with a competitive salary of 1800$ per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute merchandising plans to increase product visibility and drive sales
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for product placement and promotion
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective promotions, displays, and campaigns
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking of products
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure proper implementation of merchandising strategies
- Train store staff on product knowledge, placement, and display techniques
- Maintain relationships with key retail partners to ensure maximum exposure for our products
- Attend trade shows and events as needed to showcase our products
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a merchandising role within the retail industry
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret sales data and market trends
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to effectively present ideas to team members
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team members from various departments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Canadian citizenship or valid work permit in Canada preferred
